Hospice nurses in Watford walked across hot coals to support their patients at a fiery fundraising event that raised £18,000.
The Peace Hospice Firewalk, on October 21, was held outside the hospice in Peace Drive, just off Rickmansworth Road, Watford, and raised the whopping figure.
A firebreather started the night’s entertainment before the 65 participants took on the challenge one by one.
Hospice community and events manager Peter Rasmussen said: “What an amazing night.
“Holding the event at the hospice is really special to us and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic.
