With Watford's "first tequila bar" set to officially open this week - the Watford Observer was given an early look inside.
Barrio will be unveiled in a soft launch today (October 20) and will serve latin-inspired meals during the day before transforming into a bar in the evening.
It is taking over the former Bosleys site in The Parade and will have live DJs performing into the early hours.
Prior to the bar's opening, Barrio allowed the Watford Observer inside for a sneak peak at the bar's interior.
The finishing touches were still being added to the bar, with tables and chairs still to be moved into the outside area.
Barrio's managing director, Jim Robertson, said: "We're very excited, we've currently got four Barrio locations and they're all in central London.
"This is our first one outside London and we're really excited for it.
"We've spent a bit of time in Watford lately, and we think that we're a good fit for the area."
Asked about the what Barrio will bring to Watford, Jim continued: "We're not just focussing on people from Watford.
"We want to drive people in from the various suburbs around the town.
"We hope to bring a quality product to the area, there seem to be quite a few cheaper offerings in Watford town centre.
"We won't be aiming for the cheaper clientel, but we're aiming to bring in a quality clientel by offering more quality products."
Barrio will open its doors to the public at 4pm.
