Suspicious activity was reported to police after a man reportedly knocked on the doors of several pensioners asking to “buy jewellery”.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were called at around 1.25pm yesterday (October 18) and told a man had knocked at an address in Kings Langley asking if the occupant wanted to “sell any jewellery”.
When he was told no, he came back an hour later asking the same question and was again refused, shortly before he was reported to police.

Officers searched the area but could not locate him.
The pensioner's son warned others online, following which two other people claimed the same thing happened to them.
All three said they told police, with another branding the incidents "a real worry".
Police have said they are carrying out further enquiries.
