Watford’s MP is standing by the Prime Minister despite an increasing number of calls for her to step down after she announced another U-turn.
Dean Russell’s continued support for Liz Truss comes after she announced on Friday that she reversed a key policy to scrap the planned rise in corporation tax from 19% to 25%.
It is yet another climbdown from the Prime Minister since she took office in September.

After this and the sacking of Kwasi Kwarteng as Chancellor, the move has seen several senior political leaders, including Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, to call for Liz Truss to resign.
But Watford MP Dean Russell is still backing the Prime Minister.
He said: “The Prime Minister is focussed on steering the country through unprecedented global challenges and she has my full support.”
Mr Russell outlined the challenges the UK is facing due to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and the world emerging from the pandemic.
He added: “More uncertainty is not the solution.”
