With work having started in late 2016, the alterations were carried out in three phases with the third starting in March 2021.
A total of £218 million has been invested into the project, which will soon see a new Lidl opening on the former Post Office site.
It is expected to open in November 2022, but the retailer has not yet confirmed a date.
With the new store taking shape, the community is eager to see the finished product.
When finally completed, the regeneration project will be home to 55,000sq ft of retail space and public space.
In addition, 645 new homes were approved, to be available for sale, shared ownership, and affordable housing.
Out of 174 homes built in phase two, 132 are now occupied, with the rest to be filled by the end of April.
