The newly-appointed operator of the National Lottery has confirmed lottery headquarters will remain in Watford.
Allwyn will take over from Camelot in February 2024 after officially being awarded a licence by the UK Gambling Commission this week.
The announcement comes after Camelot, which has operated the National Lottery since its conception in 1994, dropped a legal challenge that was preventing the licence being handed over to Allwyn.

Czech-based lottery operator Allwyn has confirmed it has now agreed a deal on an additional office in Watford – Iveco House above Watford Junction train station - in order to work near the heart of the current operations.
The office opening is also intended ensure Allwyn and Camelot can “work collaboratively to deliver the transition successfully”.
Allwyn has said that the 900 or so Camelot jobs are safe and its opening at Iveco House is a sign of the company’s commitment to retain Watford as the home of the National Lottery, alongside the existing Camelot headquarters in Tolpits Lane.

Allwyn has said that under its stewardship, sales growth is expected to result in the money allocated to UK good causes “more than doubling”, adding its plans will “transform and improve” the way the National Lottery operates.
Justin King, chairman at Allwyn, said: "This award formally marks a fresh start for the National Lottery. We have exciting plans for this important and cherished institution, crucially raising even more proceeds for good causes across the country, improving the player experience through the latest technology and ensuring safe participation.
“Everyone at Allwyn is ready to meet the challenge of working under a shortened timeframe for transition. We look forward to working closely with Camelot’s team over the coming months to ensure the lottery is in its best ever shape when we take the reins in February 2024."
