Watford MP Dean Russell has been appointed to his first ministerial post.
Mr Russell was made a Parliamentary Under Secretary in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy this morning, Wednesday, September 21.
The MP said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be asked to serve in His Majesty’s Government.

“Of course, Watford and its residents remains my number one priority.
"Being the MP for our town is something that I am incredibly proud of, and my focus will continue to be on delivering the pledges that I made.”

A Parliamentary Under Secretary is a type of junior minister who is delegated responsibilities by a secretary of state, appointed by the King on the advice of the Prime Minister
The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy is Jacob Rees-Mogg.
