Hertfordshire bus strikes on two dates have been called off as a mark of respect following the death of the Queen.
Arriva employees were set to walk out again on Friday September 16, Tuesday September 20, and Friday September 30.
This morning, Unite the union confirmed that strikes on September 16 and 20 have been called off.

Arriva staff in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire voted to strike over the current pay rise offer of between four and six percent, which the union describes as a “real terms pay cut” due to inflation.
After the latest bout of action, a spokesperson for Arriva said: “Any pay rise has to be affordable in order to protect the long-term sustainability of the bus network.
Unite the Union has confirmed there will be no Arriva industrial action across the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire regions on Friday 16th September & Tuesday 20th September – as a mark of respect, following the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

“We urge Unite the union to work with us by suspending strike action and allow members to vote on this increase.”
Unite has confirmed strike action on September 30 is still set to go ahead.
