An Abbots Langley woman has called for Hertfordshire's Jubilee beacons to be lit on the evening of the Queen’s funeral.
Linda Perry, 56, said it would be a “fitting tribute” to Her Majesty who died yesterday afternoon.
The beacons were introduced for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and lit in her honour as the nation marked her 70 years on the throne.

Mrs Perry said: “Everyone wants to light candles but I think it would be more fitting for everyone to light one beacon and for the community to say their farewells.
“It would be a fitting tribute to her.
“When we celebrated the Jubilee in Abbots Langley, it was a nice weekend, and it was very community focussed."
Mrs Perry said her suggestion online received more than 100 likes and several comments that it was a good idea.
Hertfordshire County Council was approached for a response to Mrs Perry’s call.
A spokesperson said: “We are awaiting official confirmation from Buckingham Palace about the funeral arrangements for Her Majesty The Queen.”
Mrs Perry said she would not describe herself as a royalist but the Queen's presence made a lasting impact.
“She was like a great aunt or a grandmother that we have had in our lives for all these years,” she added.
