Police were rushed to a canal after reports a gun was pulled out during an argument.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it was called to the clash at the Grand Union Canal in Hunton Bridge just before 6pm on Sunday, September 4.
The force said initial reports stated a gun was involved.

At least three police cars were spotted in the area as a man, 57, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
An air gun was also recovered.
The man has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
