Dramatic safety demonstrations will be staged as part of a free family day out at Watford Fire Station.
The station in Lower High Street, Watford, is holding its annual open day on Saturday, September 3 from 12pm to 4pm.
The day will start and finish with a chip pan demonstration.

There will be smoke house tours and community fire safety talks throughout the day.
At 1.30pm there will be a road traffic safety demonstration.
Families will be able to buy food from the barbecue and enjoy ice cream.
The day will also include aerial ladder platform rides, knock down targets, information about The Fire Fighters Charity and a charity shop in a box stall.
