The organiser of a monthly farmers’ market has announced the market is closing.
Bushey Farmers Market has been running on the first Saturday of each month outside Bushey Arena since March 2021.
Traders sell a variety of food products including cheese, bread, wine, pies, cakes and pastries, with a food van also attending along with craft stallholders.
But Bushey Farmers Market wrote on its Facebook page on August 22: “Unfortunately after much consideration we have decided to close the farmers market as I do not have the time to focus on the market and just cannot get the amount of stall holders to join us to cover costs or the right type of stalls to keep people interested in attending.
“Thank you to all the public in the area for attending over the last year and we hope you all understand our position, if anyone may be interested in taking over, I will be more than happy to put you into contact with the venue We wish everyone a healthy and happy future.”
