A record number of girls taking GCSE computer science and further maths at one school bucked national trends to achieve top grades.
St Helen's School, in Northwood, said that 42 per cent of all marks awarded were 9s and over 70 per cent were grades 9 to 8, with just under 90 per cent being grades 9 to 7.
The school also says that majority of students studying computer science and further maths achieved grade 9s.

Head teacher Alice Lucas said: “The girls have worked so hard over the past two years in what have really been very challenging and unsettling circumstances.
"These impressive results are testament to their work ethic, resilience, and of course, to the support, dedication and expertise of their first-class teachers."
