“Exceptional, inspirational and talented” GCSE students have received their results.
Rickmansworth School said that almost 45% of all grades achieved were 7 to 9s – which equates to A and A* - and 90% of students attained grade 4 or higher in English and mathematics.
The school has also boasted that 80% of students had grade 5 or higher in the two subjects.

Head teacher Matt Fletcher said “After a difficult few years during the pandemic, it was lovely to see the smiles on our students’ faces as they opened their results this morning.
"The resilience they have shown in recent times is remarkable.
"They are all exceptional, inspiring and talented young people and we couldn’t be prouder of them”.
At Watford Grammar School for Girls, 24 pupils gained at least nine grade 9s, as they were higher than in 2019.
Headmistress Sylvia Tai said: “The resilience of our students is inspiring and they have gained some fantastic results, the vast majority of students have made good progress.”
The Haberdashers’ Elstree Schools said that 54% of the grades awarded in the girls’ school were 9 and 91% were 7 to 9.
At the boys’ school, 61% were 9 and 95% were 7 to 9.
From September, the GCSE cohort will be the first students at the schools who will be taught their A-levels in co-educational classes, with students studying at least one A-level in mixed gender classes across at the other school.
Rose Hardy, headmistress at Habs Girls and Gus Lock, headmaster at Habs Boys, said in a joint statement: “Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their outstanding GCSE results.
"After navigating two national lockdowns, these results are testament to the resilience and hard work of all our students.”
Immanuel College in Bushey said that the results this year were the best in the college’s history.
31% of results were grade 9s and more than half of all results were graded 7 or higher.
More than two-thirds of results were graded 7 or higher and 98% of all entries were graded 4 or higher.
The average grade was halfway between a 7 and an 8.
