St Michael’s Catholic High School has hailed its "excellent" GCSE results and praised its students' "outstanding effort".
The Watford school also said it expects to see between 60 and 70 per cent of pupils to return for A-levels after most got grades nine to five in their GCSEs.
Headteacher Edward Conway said: “We are delighted with the excellent GCSE and VTQ results achieved by our students that demonstrates their outstanding effort over the past two years, which have been unprecedented due to the Covid pandemic.

“We are very proud of them and wish them happiness and success in their futures with the majority remaining in our excellent sixth form or going to college.”
The school said a high number of students achieved nine plus GCSEs with grades nine to seven - equivalent to an A* or A.
Mr Conway added: “Their results reflect the endeavour and commitment that each student displayed regarding their studies.”
