LEGO has now confirmed the closing date for its atria Watford store.
Earlier this year, the Lego Group said it had to make a “difficult decision” to shut the local branch.
Now a sign has been put up at the store to let shoppers know the final date in September it will be open.
The sign reads: “Thanks Watford, it’s been awesome.
“This store will close on 11th September 2022, and we will miss all our friends and fans.
“But we hope to see you again soon at LEGO.com or in our 3 LEGO stores in London and Milton Keynes.”

A LEGO spokesperson previously told the Watford Observer that the company constantly assessed the store portfolio to ensure it provided “the best LEGO experience” for shoppers and fans.
It is understood that staff members have been offered a role at other stores.
It leaves yet another empty unit at Watford’s shopping centre after the closure of other major retailers such as John Lewis in 2020 and atria bosses being tight-lipped of its future.
