A housing development of up to 800 new build homes has come under fire for "failing to consider the area’s infrastructure".
Chiltern Hills Golf Club wants to build the homes on farm land east of Green Street and north of Orchard Drive in Chorleywood.
But the proposal has caused a backlash for several reasons, including the development being on Green Belt land.

Conservative district councillor Ciaran Reed told Watford Observer he does not want the application to go through.
The Chorleywood North and Sarratt councillor said: “Fundamentally the build is going to be a detrimental impact for those of us that live in Three Rivers and hugely impact our infrastructure.
“There are no plans for dealing with secondary school places. Secondary school places are already close to limits within Hertfordshire.”
He added that the area will not be able to manage the increased traffic, which he claims is already a "nightmare".
Rob Morgan, who is part of the planning team at Savills, which is representing the golf club, said it listened to comments made at a recent Three Rivers planning committee meeting.
Mr Morgan said: “There is a desperate need for new affordable housing in Chorleywood and the proposed scheme would meet that need in a sustainable location, next to an existing village centre and station.”
He added that the golf club is likely to make a significant financial contribution to school places in the area.
And he said his client is working with the local authority to mitigate any environmental damages that may occur due to the build.
Mr Morgan added that the club plans to use money from the housing development to build new football pitches and a golf course for local clubs.
He added: “If the houses are built the sports facilities will certainly be provided - they have offered a legally binding agreement that most of the houses cannot be occupied until the sports facilities are completed and available.”
