The Mayor has called for a greater police presence to keep Watford town centre safe.
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor has launched a petition calling on Police and Crime Commissioner David Lloyd to strengthen the town centre with more police officers.
The petition says more police on the High Street are needed to deal with any anti-social behaviour and keep it as a safe place for everyone to enjoy.

Mayor Peter Taylor said: “I love spending more time in Watford Town Centre with my family and friends and its really important that when people visit here it’s a safe and pleasant and safe experience.
“I want there to be more police in Watford Town Centre and if you agree with me, please sign the petition now.”
The petition, available on the mayor’s website, reads: “We call upon the Police and Crime Commissioner to increase the police presence in Watford High Street.”
A video of Mr Taylor in the town centre has been posted a video on Facebook, calling for people to sign the petition.
