Commuters are warned of rail delays as high temperatures are affecting the tracks.
Speed restrictions are being enforced between Watford Junction and Bricket Wood on the Abbey line this afternoon (August 9).
The London Northwestern Railway says that since 12pm, train services running through these stations may be delayed.
Originally it was estimated that the high track temprature issue would be fixed by 3.30pm today, but now disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Network Rail has also confirmed that the speed restriction will remain in place until next week
Anyone wishing to take the train this afternoon is asked to check the live departures and arrivals.

In Watford it is currently 26C, with the Met Office predicting the temperature will reach 28C later today.
But the forecaster has placed an amber warning starting on Thursday, August 11, and staying in place on August 12 and 13, with the last day of extreme heat on Sunday, August 14.
With the speed restriction in place until next week, similar heat-related travel disruptions could happen again in the coming days.
