A 16-year-old girl has won a major European title in a Muay Thai competition.
Ellie Harber, a teenager from Watford, won the World Boxing Council (WBC) under 18 years Muay Thai European Title on July 30.
The girl who attends Knowlesy Academy in Edgware, faced a tough competition from Emma Touhey from Ireland, as they battled it out across five rounds of two minutes.
She called it a “dream come true” and said her thorough training prepared her for the fight.
Her dad, Steve Harber, said: “She is a role model to us all and shows if you work hard and follow your dream anything is possible.”
She requires further sponsorship to help her training, to help contact her at emmaisichei@hotmail.com or donate at https://www.gofundme.com/f/wbc-world-championships
