Here are five cheaper and more environmentally friendly ways to travel round Watford.
With ArrivaClick you have the option of being picked up as close to your home as possible and taken as near to your destination.
All you have to do is download the ArrivaClick app and set up an account.
You have the option to pay as you go, or you can buy a commuter pass.
A weekly commuter pass that covers a limited two rides a day costs £27. A weekly unlimited pass for unlimited rides all week costs £35.
You might have seen people riding the green bikes in Watford and wondered what they are.
It’s Watford’s answer to London’s Boris Bikes – Beryl Bikes.
Download the app for free and find out where the 76 bike bays are around town.
The pay as you ride option costs 5p per minute, with an unlocking fee of £1.
The minute bundles are:
100 mins - £5
200 mins -£10
300 mins - £15
400 mins - £20
Remember to put your bike back in a Beryl Bay or you will be charged extra.

Car sharing
It’s often something used by staff who work in big organisations such as the NHS, but its worth seeing if there are other ways you could use this idea.
Why not ask a neighbour if you can car share when doing the weekly food shop?
Or perhaps when taking the children to school?
Remember, Covid is still an issue, so keep the windows open.
Walking
We can’t forget to mention this free option, which also helps with your fitness.
It’s good to know that some of Watford’s footpaths are currently undergoing a revamp as well.
