A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident at Watford General Hospital’s A&E.
Officers were called at around midnight on Monday, August 1, after reports that a woman was inappropriately touched by a man in a waiting area.
A Herts Police spokesperson confirmed a man aged in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
He remains in police custody at this time, they added.
West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Watford General, declined to comment with a police investigation ongoing.

In an unrelated incident, a woman was sexually assaulted in Rickmansworth while walking along Uxbridge Road near the junction with Money Hill Road.
She was reportedly touched inappropriately at around 5.55pm on Friday, July 29, following which a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
