A man is set to go on trial after being charged with several offences linked to an alleged hit-and-run that left a pedestrian injured.
Amar Shah, of Highwood Grove in Edgware, was allegedly driving a Volkswagen Golf in Lower High Street, Watford, when there was an accident – following which he is accused of failing to stop.
The 39-year-old was also charged with not driving with due care and attention in public after the car allegedly “moved backwards, colliding with a pedestrian”, according to court documents.
Shah is also accused of failing to report the accident on October 27 last year.
Following a court hearing on July 22, the case was adjourned to October 31 in Stevenage Magistrates’ Court for a trial to take place.
