Four men have been charged after a BMW was stolen from outside a home.
Police were called after a black 6 Series was taken in Abbots Road, Abbots Langley, at around 5.20pm on Monday, July 25.
It was found at 7.40pm that evening parked in nearby Summerhouse Way and returned to the owner before a probe was launched.
Having trawled through CCTV footage, officers identified a vehicle of interest - a beige Jaguar X-Type estate car - which was then located on the M25 near junction 15 at 9.50pm.

Officers from the Mobile Scorpion Team (MST) used specialist tactics to bring it to a stop before arresting the four occupants.
The following have since been charged with conspiring to steal a motor vehicle:
- Paris Anghel, aged 25
- Teodore Sava, aged 41
- Roberto Anghel, aged 20
- Marco Anghel, aged 18
They are due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on August 30.
