Commuters have been warned of "significant disruption" on trains today (July 27) due to strikes affecting Watford Junction.
National Rail has advised only travelling by train if absolutely necessary as a Rail Maritime and Transport (RMT) strike takes place.
Only around one in five trains will run on around half the network, it added.
Warnings have also been issued over a reduced service on some routes tomorrow (Thursday), with some trains starting later than normal.

Currently trains from Watford Junction to London Euston are scheduled once every 30 minutes – but further disruptions are likely.
The train operating companies have published a temporary timetable to show the limited service that will be available.
