A major road has been closed this afternoon after a two-car crash damaged the central reservation.
The collision involving a white Range Rover and Ford Ranger happened at around 1.51pm on the A41 southbound between Hemel Hempstead and Kings Langley.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called with reports of a non-serious injury before one person was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The fire service said the collision reportedly involved three adults and one child and there was "barrier damage" which is being repaired.
A police spokesperson said the vehicles have now been recovered and the carriageway cleared, but it is believed the central reservation has been damaged which is prolonging delays.
According to Google Maps the closure stretches all the way from Bourne End to the A41-M25 junction.
It is currently unclear when the road will reopen and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
Herts Highways has been contacted for details. Updates to follow.
