The GP Patient Survey has revealed how doctor’s surgeries in and around Watford were rated for 2022.
Patients have had their say on the service they are provided by their GP in a thorough annual assessment carried out by the NHS.
The NHS system produces weighted numbers to fairly compare surgeries across a range of categories, from booking appointments, waiting times, recognising mental health needs, and the quality of care given.

There is a 90-page document explaining the weighting system, but higher numbers are better.
Bridgewater Surgery, in Printers Avenue, came out on top for the area with an overall experience score of 298, while Baldwins Lane Surgery, in Croxley Green, scored the lowest with just 31.
The average overall satisfaction was 115, higher than the national average of 78.
Bushey GPs performed highly with Manor View Practice, at 287, closely behind first place, and Attenborough Surgery in third.
Fortunately, the area does not hold any of the worst-rated GPs in the UK and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rates all of them ‘good’.
