A pedestrian in her sixties sustained serious injuries in a crash involving a moped.
The woman, who is in her 60s, was taken to hospital, where she remains, after the collision in St Albans city centre yesterday (July 5).
Police are appealing for people who witnessed the crash, which took place in St Peter’s Street, near the junction with Victoria Street, at around 3.55pm, to come forward.

The moped rider was uninjured and is continuing to assist officers with their enquiries.
The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire road policing unit’s sergeant Justin Smyth said: “The collision occurred in a busy area of the city centre and while we have already spoken with a number of witnesses, we believe there were other people who may have seen what happened but had left the area prior to police arrival.
“If you did see the incident, please get in touch with us. We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who captured dash cam footage of what happened.”
An air ambulance was seen landing at Verulanium Park after the incident occurred.
People were asked to avoid St Peter’s Street by police and several bus services were unable to use the road while emergency services attended the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mr Smyth via email, justin.smyth@herts.police.uk.
