Roadworks will shut a major road in Watford for more than three weeks in both directions during all hours.
Vicarage Road was closed from yesterday (Thursday, July 7) and is not scheduled to open again until late on July 29.
Thames Water says it will be carrying out planned work to repair a sewer pipe in the road.
We’ve spoken to Hertfordshire County Council and it appears the part of Vicarage Road that is to close will be the stretch that runs alongside the Watford FC stadium.

This means there should still be access into Occupation Road and for residents to Oxford Street.
Vicarage Road will also be open by the entrance to Watford General Hospital.
Buses will be on diversion because there will be no access from one end of Vicarage Road to the other and diversion signs should also be in place for other drivers.
Queues are expected in parts of West Watford throughout the rest of the month while the work and closure is ongoing.
No football matches are scheduled to take place at Vicarage Road stadium between now and July 29 and the work was timed to take place after the Sir Elton John concerts.
