Today is set to be the hottest day of the year, with temperatures expected to reach 31C in Watford.

According to the NHS, it usually starts with heat exhaustion and symptoms include a headache, dizziness and confusion, a loss of appetite, excessive sweating, cramps in the arms or legs or stomach, fast breathing or pulse and being very thirsty.
