A burst water main sent water shooting into the air near a busy road yesterday.
The fountain of water was spotted on a verge by the A41 near the Dome Roundabout in North Watford yesterday afternoon (June 12).
An Affinity Water van was spotted at the scene, which is close to houses, and screenshots from a video showed the area had been cordoned off with barriers.
A column of water was sent relatively high into the air – it’s unclear how the burst affected water supply in the local area.
A message on traffic data website One Network, on behalf of Affinity Water, says: “We are currently carrying out essential maintenance in your area, this is on-going work to improve our service to you.”
The work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday (June 13).
It is not thought to be causing any disruption to drivers on the A41.
