A wanted man has been arrested after reports of "possible gun shots" closed a major road in Watford.
Armed police were among officers called to St Albans Road just before 3.55pm this afternoon (Thursday) after reports relating to an address in the road.
A Herts Police spokesperson said: "Police received reports of shouting and possible gun shots at an address in St Albans Road, Watford, just before 3.55pm on Thursday 9 June.

"The road was closed at 4.15pm as a precaution while officers, including an armed response team, conducted inquiries.
"No one was injured but a wanted man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of blackmail.
"He is currently in police custody."
Road closures were lifted at 4.45pm but as of 5.30pm there were still knock-on delays in the area.
