An arrest has been made after a masked male allegedly attacked a 15-year-old boy with a knife.
Police were called to reports of a fight between two teenagers on Chorleywood Common at around 9.45pm on Friday, May 27.
A male wearing a balaclava allegedly punched the 15-year-old in the head before twice attempting to stab him.
Police said the boy did not suffer stab wounds but did have a cut to the head due to the punch.
Detective Constable Robert King, who is investigating, said one person was arrested before they were released on bail while enquiries continue.
“There was a large number of people on the common at the time this incident took place, so we believe that several people may have witnessed it taking place,” he added.
“If you did witness it and have not yet spoken to police, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
Information can be reported to police via non-emergency number 101 quoting reference ISR 909 of 27 May.
