The fire service has issued a warning after a bin fire caused significant damage to a property.
Firefighters were called to Meadow Way in Kings Langley at 7.28am on Saturday (January 4).
A photo taken by a firefighter from Kings Langley fire station showed a burnt out window and debris.
A Facebook post read: "Busy start to the month, four calls to fires including this one this morning. Just a gentle reminder to think carefully about where you store your wheelie bins and what you put in them.
"This used to be two full size wheelie bins, two meter cupboards and a kitchen window!"
Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue added the fire affected electrical and gas supply but crews were able to extinguish the flames with a hose.
The cause of the fire is unknown but it is being treated as accidental.
