There are huge delays on the M25 this afternoon after a three-vehicle crash left a disabled man trapped.
The collision between junctions 18 and 19 of the M25 clockwise happened at around 3pm and emergency services were called to the scene.
One man was trapped in his vehicle due to a disability and firefighters had to use cutting equipment to release him.
Herts Fire and Rescue said he was in a "time critical condition" and trauma care was subsequently provided.
All but one lane has been closed causing two-hour delays for vehicles travelling clockwise on the carriageway.
There are also long delays on the anticlockwise carriageway stretching back to Bricket Wood.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 3pm today, following the collision which involved two vehicles. Officers are currently on scene.”
Fire crews are also attending from Rickmansworth, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans and Berkhamsted.
