Hello, my name is Thunder and this is my friend Peanut. We came to the National Animal Welfare Trust a couple of months ago when our owner had a change of circumstances.

I am a cute two-year-old boy and Peanut is a beautiful one-year-old girl. We´re a lovely pair looking for a new home with adults or families where the grown-ups would do most of the handling. We’re used to living indoors as part of the family so we can spend lots of time together.

My friends here at the NAWT say I’m quite a cheeky bunny who has a big personality, and they are not wrong, but my friend Peanut is a bit worried by new things and will need time to learn that humans’ hands are not scary. I eat all my veggies and nuggets, despite not having any front teeth, and that doesn’t stop me throwing my toys about and grooming Peanut!

We rabbits are very inquisitive and intelligent pets so we can get bored easily and need toys to keep our brains active. This can be something as simple as an empty kitchen roll tube stuffed with hay – an important part of a rabbit’s healthy diet.
