Children at one primary school had a head-start in celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
From May 23 to 27, the children and teachers at Colnbrook School in South Oxhey made decorations for their own street party – held in the playground on May 27.
Bunting was hung around the school site and some of the children created pictures of the Queen.

Headteacher Caroline Aplin said: “The children had a fun-filled day. There was lots of fun and learning.
“We ended our week of celebrations with an assembly where we sang a song for our Queen, followed by a classical music concert and ended with a tea party in the playground.
“All the children enjoyed choosing an ice cream and looked brilliant in their crowns.”
