A 92-year-old who remembers the Queen’s coronation is gearing up for the Jubilee weekend.
Bill Tucker and his neighbours in retirement flats in Rickmansworth are planning a party over the Jubilee weekend in honour of Her Majesty.
Mr Tucker said: “The Queen has represented us for many years, and I think she has done a very good job. I thought we could do something to show our appreciation.”

The group will hang bunting around their retirement flats and are planning on celebrating outside with each other.
Mr Tucker was 21 when Princess Elizabeth was crowned Queen and recalls the celebrations at the time.
He said: “Many people put up decorations. I can remember my father buying us some flags and putting them on the front of our house.”
