The Queen, her corgi, and one of her guardsman have gone missing in Abbots Langley.
The knitted characters, in honour of the upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations, were stolen from the high street earlier this week.
The yarnbombing was the work of the Vintage Crafters knitting group who have been spreading some joy as the country marks 70 years of Her Majesty on the throne.
But Janet Perry, from the club, was disappointed to find the star of the show - the Queen herself - has disappeared. She had been placed on the corner of Abbots Langley High Street and Abbots Road for around nine days before she is believed to have vanished some time on Tuesday (May 17).
Janet, who says she spent several hours knitting the Queen and her corgi, said: "It’s really disappointing and actually quite mean that someone has snipped at the cable ties and taken them.
"Everyone had been saying how nice these characters were and we have had so many lovely comments. The children were coming by specially to see them. This has deprived the village of some joy.
"If whoever has taken it really wants a knitted character we can make them one but we really want the Queen back! She was in a very prominent position. Perhaps they could leave her by the library."
