An elderly woman has been “seriously injured” after being hit by a vehicle.
Police were called to Hempstead Road in Watford at 1.39pm today (May 20) to reports of the pedestrian in her eighties being hit.
Road closures have been put in place on Hempstead Road by Courtlands Drive and police have warned that disruptions are likely “for some time”.
An air ambulance was spotted circling above the scene and at least seven police and three ambulance vehicles were present.
While it appears that traffic is “moving easily” despite the closure, motorists are advised to avoid the area during this time.
