There will be music, children's face painting and candle lighting at a ‘Together with Ukraine’ event at Watford Town Hall on Monday (May 16).
The event, described as a family event of solidarity, friendship and prayer, will feature traditional Ukrainian music, and children will also be able to release balloons before a blessing.
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor will attend for a welcome and poem.

There will be face painting for children of all ages at Everyone Active leisure centre near the town hall from 6pm.
The Watford stands with Ukraine service will be at the flagpole by the hall itself at 7pm.
Traditional Ukrainian music will be performed on the bandura by Julia Kogut-Kalynyuk and Katya Trachuk, who have played on the BBC.
To close the event there will be a minute's silence for reflection, before the Ukrainian flag will be raised and the anthem will play.
