Proposals to provide more seating and improve the view of the stage at a theatre in Watford are among the planning applications validated by Watford, Three Rivers and Dacorum councils in the week beginning May 9.
The Pump House Theatre, in Local Board Road, has submitted an application to demolish and then replace its dressing rooms, scenery shop, rehearsal spaces storage facilities, and reshape the theatre roof.
The planning and design statement submitted with the application states the reshaped roof will will "enable the introduction of a balcony with additional seating, a larger technicians' gallery, the light and sound rigs can be raised to give the whole audience a better view of the stage and the upper level can be fully accessible".
