A Hertfordshire firefighter said it was humbling to deliver equipment to the people of Ukraine.
Firefighters Paul Redhead, Dan Collier and Lee Addington drove across Europe as part of a convoy of 24 vehicles organised by Fire Aid and the National Fire Chiefs Council.
They took a 2006 Scania P94 fire engine as well as items including ladders, pumps, hose reels and generators to the Polish border with Ukraine.

The donations will help replace equipment lost in the conflict with Russia.
Mr Redhead said: “Meeting our Ukrainian partners was humbling. They are under pressure. They were so grateful for the equipment.”
The team left on May 4 and returned on May 10. In total, 70 fire fighters from England and Wales made the journey.
