A new school block has opened offering children three new classrooms and 3D printing technology.
Gagan Mohindra, the South West Hertfordshire MP, stopped by at Rickmansworth School on April 22 to take a look at the newly-built Innovation & Design block.
The new block not only provides extra classroom space, but also machinery and equipment with the latest technology – including 3D printers.
Matt Fletcher, the headteacher at the school, said: "At Rickmansworth School, we are extremely conscious that we are preparing our students for future careers that simply do not exist today.
“It is vital that we continue to invest in new technologies and workspaces that allow students to experience cutting edge equipment and techniques that allow them to develop into the engineers and technological trailblazers of the future."
Mr Mohindra said it was “fantastic” to see the new equipment and he looks forward to seeing the work produced with the “brilliant resources at their fingertips”.
