An MP is now demanding for answers as to why private members are being refused entry into a golf club amid a row over contracts.
Golfers at Batchworth Park Golf Club were left disappointed since they were told at the beginning of April they could no longer enter unless new membership contracts are signed.
Many have refused to sign as the new terms give operator Crown Golf full lease control – paving the way for potential housing at the Rickmansworth site.
Weeks after, the question remains on the future of the club as members who attended since its 1996 opening can no longer access the venue.

Gagan Mohindra, the MP for South West Hertfordshire, has now intervened on the issue.
He said: “In recent weeks, I have received a number of emails from concerned constituents about a lease dispute at Batchworth Golf Club, with members being turned away on arrival.
“I have written to Crown Properties to find out what has happened and why.
“Please be assured that I am looking into this and will be updating those that have contacted me as soon as I have more information.”
When approached by the Watford Observer, Crown Golf denied seeing any copy from the MP.
Mr Mohindra has not responded to the Observer’s request to see the contents of the letter issued.
Currently, members own a 99-year lease, with 74 remaining.
If the new contracts issued are signed, then Crown Golf obtains full lease control.
It is feared that the golf operator will push for housing as the course is currently listed as a potential site for the development of 618 houses.
