A fly tipper has been fined after stacks of garbage and a trolley were found at a car park.
Multiple bin bags, cardboard boxes and a trolley were dumped in Newberries Car Park in Radlett – which sparked an investigation to find those responsible.
After a member of public found the pile on March 22, Hertsmere Borough Council served a £300 fine to the fly tipper from Potters Bar.
Another person, from Enfield in London, received a written warning for dumping household waste alongside the fly tipped spot.
Cllr Seamus Quilty, portfolio holder for environment, said that the council takes fly tipping “very seriously” and that they will use “everything in our power” to tackle it.
He said: “I am delighted our environmental health team have been able to track the people responsible and take the appropriate action.”
