Unwanted bikes will be collected from Sarratt village green by residents helping a charity that supports refugees in the UK.
On Saturday, April 23, between 12pm and 3pm, Sarah Ratciffe and Flo Garvey will be waiting by the flagpole for bikes to be donated.
A cake stall will also be available, with donations going to The Bike Project.
The charity restores old bikes before giving them to refugees who can use them for travel.
It follows the success of last year's event which saw 115 children and adult bikes donated.
Sarah said: “If the bike isn’t being used by you it could really help somebody else to gain independence, an income, or freedom, which is exactly what most refugees are trying to do.
“We did a pop-up collection a year ago and the people around were very generous, and we thought we would do another one.
“I think the charity was a bit overwhelmed by the 100 bikes last time, but they don’t mind if we get 10 or 20.
“We want to help. If there are any ways to help refugees, we can.”
Sarah and Flo first decided to run the drop-off session after Flo came across the charity when she was looking for a way to dispose of her old bike.
Referring to residents donating last year, Sarah added: "They were enthusiastic and positive about it.
"They cleaned their bikes off and were very happy.
“Quite a lot of people had a bike in their shed that they weren’t using, it was such an easy thing for them to do.”
Before a bike is donated the charity asks for it to be registered with them so they know how many to expect.
A code will be sent after registration, which will need to be given to Sarah or Flo when bikes are being dropped off.

Updates on the donated bike, and how it is being used, either for parts or as a whole, will be sent to the person who gifted the bike.
