Motorists were warned of long delays near Watford this morning (Tuesday) due to roadworks.
The ongoing work to replace traffic lights in Bushey was causing congestion during rush hour as schools returned after the half-term break.
The roadworks are at the junction of Little Bushey Lane, Aldenham Road, and Bushey Mill Lane.
Hertfordshire Highways said the roadworks were causing a 30 minute delay for drivers coming from Radlett towards Bushey via Hartspring Lane.

The roadworks are due to be completed by April 29.
Elsewhere construction work on the A4178 by Oxhey Park is also causing congestion that is spilling over to Eastbury Road.
Those works are scheduled to last until Thursday (April 21).
