A Post Office is set to return next month after being closed for nearly a year.
The branch by Simmons Garden Centre at Chapel Croft in Chipperfield, Kings Langley, temporarily closed in June last year to make way for new housing.
Now a newly built shop at Chapel Road will bring back a permanent Post Office service to Chapel Croft when it opens on May 28 at 9.30am.
Since the former site closed, a temporary Chipperfield service was in place, but it is set to close days before the new branch on May 24.
Anyone needing the Post Office between May 24 and the opening of the new store can visit the ones in Kings Langley on Hempstead Road and in Sarratt on The Green.
Graham Simmons, Post Office network provision lead said: “We are delighted to be restoring a permanent Post Office in Chipperfield in this newly-built shop as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
The new shop will be open 9.30am to 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays and 9.30am to 12pm on Saturdays.
