Motorists may find their journeys disrupted due to the planned temporary closure of several roads in the area for roadworks.
A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer details plans to shut roads in Watford, Bushey, Croxley Green and surrounding areas while works take place.
All temporary closure orders are valid for up to 18 months but the restrictions will only apply at times indicated by signs at or near the relevant locations.
The council is intending to make an order due to take effect on May 1 to close these lengths of road:
- The Squirrels, Bushey, from its junction with Little Bushey Lane for its entire length.
- Mungo Park Close, Bushey Heath, from its junction with Finucane Rise for its entire length.
- Gillian Green, Bushey Heath, from its junction with Finucane Rise for its entire length.
- Second Avenue, Watford, from its junction with First Avenue north-eastwards to its junction with Third Avenue.
- The service road fronting Nos. 54-76 Ganders Ash, Watford, from its junction with Valley Rise north-westwards for a distance of 89m.
- Valley Rise, Watford, from its junction with Sheepcot Lane for its entire length.
- Albans View, Watford, from its westernmost junction with Valley Rise north-eastwards, south-eastwards and south-westwards for a distance of 118m.
- Deadmans Ash Lane, Sarratt, from its junction with Dimmocks Lane north-eastwards to its junction with Bottom Lane.
Separately, the council is intending to make an order due to come into force on May 2 to close these lengths of road:
- The road leading to Nos. 1 to 101 Lambert Court, Bushey, from its junction with Bushey Grove Road north-westwards and southwards for a distance of 142m.
- Reddings Avenue, Bushey, from its junction with Harcourt Road south-eastwards to its junction with Coldharbour Lane.
- Harcourt Road, Bushey, from its junction with Palmer Avenue north-eastwards to its junction with Farm Way.
Also on May 2, an order is due to take effect to temporarily close Baldwins Lane from a point 80m south-east of its junction with Links Way south-eastwards for a distance of 53m.
Another order scheduled to come into force on May 2 is for the temporary closure of Redhall Lane, Chandlers Cross, from it junction with Chandlers Lane north-westwards and south-westwards for 160m.
